Since Independence Day was deemed the most "America!" movie of all time (by Joel), it's his fault that Baconsale had to see the sequel. Episode 62: Tournament of Disney Villains (Part 1)

Magic Mirror on the wall, who is the baddest Disney villain of all? Be prepared, The Listener, in this episode, we are pitting the greatest antagonists from animated Disney movies (and some of their sidekicks) against each other in a no-holds-barred tournament. Jacob created a bracket (which you can download and play along with us at Baconsale.com) and it's up to Kent and Joel to decide who would win in an epic battle between the likes of Scar vs. Shere Khan, The Headless Horseman vs. Mr. Oogie Boogie and Hopper vs. Prince John.

What? Two BaconBits in two weeks? Yes, you're that lucky! And so are we here at Baconsale, because the lovely Kate Beckinsale not only wore the shirt that we gave her to her (all thanks to our ridiculous Salt Lake Comic Con GoFundMe campaign), but she posted about it on social media. So, once again, get ready for three grown men to squee like a bunch of fangirls.

Episode 60: After These Messages, We'll Be Right Baconsale

Much like Michael Bay giving us a reboot of Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles that we didn't ask for, we're giving you a review of this TMNT sequel that you didn't ask for!
Haven't seen the movie? No problem! In fact, some members of Baconsale would prefer you DIDN'T see this movie. Anyway, the first 10 minutes of this BaconBit are spoiler free. After that, Kent and Joel are going to openly share their feelings about this movie in a calm and respectful manner. Just kidding, they yell a lot.

Episode 59: Three X-Men and a Little Ranking

Let's go, bub! It's time for Baconsale to rank all eight of the X-Men films. However, it seems that Kent's and Joel's mutant ability is to disagree on which movie belongs where on their ranking charts. Joel angers Kent, Kent betrays Joel and Jacob just sits there and laughs at the two of them -- just like the supervillain he is.

We also briefly review X-Men: Apocalypse. Don't worry, it's a spoiler-free review. We don't even mention the part where Jean Grey is captured by Dumbledore and imprisoned in a cage in his office.

Episode 58: Sonic Bomb! The Problem with Video Game Movies

From Super Mario Bros. to The Angry Birds Movie, Hollywood just can't seem to make a decent movie that is based on a video game. Therefore, in this episode, Baconsale is talking about why most video game film adaptations fail both critically and commercially.

We also talk about the few hidden treasures in the vast wasteland of video game movies. They're not good movies, per se, but at least they don't make you want to gouge your eyes out. Plus, as an added bonus, Kent and Joel both pitch ideas for new films based on video games -- one of which is actually good.

So whether you're a fan of Nintendo, Sega, PlayStation. Xbox or PC gaming, you're sure to enjoy us mocking the terrible movies based on the games you love.

Episode 57: The Psychology of Superheroes - Part 2

It seems that our time is up with Dr. Matt Woolley as the Baconsale crew finishes their discussion about superheroes with our favorite psychologist. 

In this, part two of the psychology of superheroes, we talk about specific Marvel and DC Comics characters and let Dr. Matt psychoanalyze a few of them, including Superman, Batman, Wonder Woman, Iron Man, Spider-Man and Wolverine. Along the way, you may even learn a little about yourself, as well. We learned that Joel slurs his speech if he records too late and that Kent believes that great power requires great looks.

Episode 56: The Psychology of Superheroes - Part 1

Our favorite clinical psychologist, Dr. Matt Woolley, is back! And this time Baconsale is talking to this educated man with a Ph.D. about our culture's current obsession with comic books and superhero movies. Well, Kent and Joel do most of the talking. Jacob is nursing a sore mouth, so he remains largely silent.
