Now that the Oscars are over and people are done talking about it, Joel and Kent are finally ready to discuss the 88th Academy Awards. And since we made predictions three episodes ago, it's time to see who won the Baconsale Oscar ballot contest, too.

Episode 46: Sitcom Reboots? You Got It, Dude!

Episode 45: It Was the Best of Pictures, It Was the Worst of Pictures

Film snobs unite! There are 87 Academy Award winners for Best Picture so far, and Kent, Joel and Jacob have watched each and every one of them so you don't have to. In this episode, we're bringing our top five Best Picture picks and our bottom five Best Picture picks to the table. Sometimes we agree, sometimes we argue and sometimes Jacob explains WAY too much of the plot. Join us as we guide you through the minefield of Oscar-winning films and let you know which ones to watch and which ones to avoid -- because, you know, the Academy doesn't always get it right.

Episode 44: And the Nominees Are...

Kent and Joel go full film geek as they make their predictions for the 88th Academy Awards. Sometimes they go with their heart and pick what they want to win, other times they go with their head and pick what they think the Academy will choose and sometimes they just make wild guesses based on how the title sounds. Even if you're not a fan of the Oscars, we do our best to entertain, even when discussing the throwaway categories that no one really cares about.

From The Shaggy Dog to Cinderella, we've hand-selected a variety of non-animated Disney movies to discuss and put into tiers. On the way, we hit some detours regarding Kent's disturbing upbringing and Joel's obsession with nannies.
We couldn't fit all of the live-action Disney films into one show, though, so we're going to have to do a part 2 someday soon. So grab on to your bedknobs and your broomsticks, dig up Old Yeller and press play 'cause, it's a jolly holiday with Baconsale!

Episode 41: Buffy vs X-Files

Prepare yourselves for a 90s sci-fi flashback on this episode of Baconsale! Kent teams up with the Scoobies and has chosen Buffy the Vampire Slayer as his champion. While Joel tries to open everyone's eyes to the truth that The X-Files is the superior television show, despite what the government might tell you.

Episode 40: 2016 Prediction Smorgasbord

Look into the crystal ball. The boys of Baconsale will predict the future of pop culture for you. The results might be as foggy as a Magic 8 Ball, but you can always ask again later. 

In this episode, Kent and Joel discuss what they're looking forward to in 2016, and we make some predictions as well -- some more ridiculous than others. We talk about movies, TV, video games, restaurants, celebrities and more. Be prepared, though, Jacob actually shows some emotion in this episode, which surprises all of us.

Episode 39: Best & Worst Movies of 2015-ish

We're back! And we're starting season two of Baconsale by discussing the best and worst movies of 2015. Kent, the traditionalist, limits his picks to movies that were actually released in theaters in 2015, whereas Joel, the loose cannon, allows any movie he watched for the first time in the past year on his list.
We're happy to have escaped the clutches of Krampus and we hope you enjoy this latest episode of Baconale!
